Our capital city of Delhi suffers from acute to severe shortages of water from time to time. Delhi's daily water usage in 2021 was estimated to be 1,380 million gallons (5,223 million liters). According to data about 7.7% of Delhi homes use bottled water while another 5.04% rely on water tankers to acquire water. Over 380 million gallons of water are lost each day in Delhi due to the demand-supply imbalance.
