Description

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday remarked that the airline industry today is well-regulated and it is not appropriate for the Court to pass any directions for capping of airfares. A Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora disposed of two petitions seeking regulation of the pricing of plane tickets. The Bench remarked that stray incidents will not require the court to entertain public interest litigations (PILs) on the issue and bring the entire sector under any new regulation.
